C.J. Wimley is the Chief Operating Officer of SunGard AvantGard Receivables, delivering Order-to-Cash software and services for business-to-business transactions.
Mr. Wimley is responsible for guiding achievement of the vision, customer satisfaction, product innovation for AvantGard Receivables. In this capacity, he drives the product’s mission to deliver enabling technology to a global customer base helping organizations optimize trade receivables management, improve cash flow, and mitigate corporate credit risk.
He has worked on key initiatives that have advanced the way companies can manage their Order-to-Cash cycle, bringing together collections, dispute management, credit risk facilitation with cash application. His efforts have also focused on fostering collaboration and connectivity within the credit community allowing organizations to leverage multiple information and technology sources for improved management of trade receivables..
Mr. Wimley has also spearheaded partnerships with several key credit data and scoring providers to delivered an enhanced customer experience. Additionally, he has also been involved with industry associations and has been instrumental in building relationships within the credit industry including associations such as the NACM, CRF, VCF, and many different trade credit groups such as Riemer Reporting Service and PESA.
Prior to joining SunGard, Wimley designed, developed, implemented and managed the credit, collection, cash application and accounts receivable systems for the $15 billion Industrial Financing Division of the CIT Group, Livingston, NJ. While there, Wimley also led due diligence and subsequent integration efforts associated with acquisition of over $2 billion of loan and lease portfolios. Wimley holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Moravian College. He has taught accounting at Montclair State University.
